Headed by Dr. Mahmoud al-Irk, Mother Syria Assembly (MSA) delegation on 24/08/2016 visited the Embassy of the Republic of Venezuela in Damascus, and was welcomed by the Ambassador of Venezuela in Damascus.
Dr. al-Irk spoke about MSA goals in contributing to Syria’s rebuilding and to halting bloodshed.
He also spoke about the historical relations between Syria and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, noting the honorable stances taken by late Venezuelan President Chavez in the service of Syria, and the Syrians.
Dr. al-Irk said that Syria is important for the world , thanks to its geo-strategic location on the world’s map and abundant resources , stressing efforts to have MSA established on the Syrian arena and with world, especially with Venezuela.
In turn, Venezuela’s ambassador in Damascus underlined the importance of establishing such assemblies, like MSA for rebuilding Syria on sound rules because of the exceptional situation in Syria and the crisis it has been experiencing.
The ambassador pointed out that countries are not only built by politicians, or workers, and intellectuals but also through joint working group including everyone, and therefore all people of all colors and sects become involved in the construction process.
He stressed Venezuela people and leadership stand with Syria in its crisis, noting that late Venezuelan President Chavez loved Syria and its president and he had visited Syria three times, and his visit covered Damascus, Sweida and Maloula.
He described the situation in Syria as complex, adding that his country supports Geneva peace talks to resolve the Syrian crisis politically, and that Venezuela attitudes are positive and clear concerning the Syrian crisis and people.
