A delegation representing Mother Syria Assembly (MSA) headed by Dr. Mahmoud al-Irk visited the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Damascus, on 08/26/2016 and was greeted by ambassador Arshak Poladian.
Dr.al-Irk explained to the ambassador MSA’s goals and spoke about causes of the crisis, Syria has been experiencing and the regional and international intervention in the conflict taking place on the Syrian soil.
Dr. al-Irk also talked about the strong relations between Syria and Armenia and highly appreciated the positive role played by Armenia to help Syria eliminate the crisis.
For his part, ambassador Poladian spoke about the deeply rooted historical relations between the two countries, and noted that the Republic of Armenia has two diplomatic missions in Aleppo and Damascus, stressing his country’s stand with Syria against the ordeal and the endeavors to stop the Syrian bloodshed.
The ambassador pointed to the global changes and its repercussions on Syria ,the region and the world, especially the conspiracy planned against the Arab region, and the east Mediterranean area, including Egypt, Libya and Iraq.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. al-Irk presented the ambassador with MSA’s shield as an expression of sincere relationship and amity ties between the Armenian and Syrian peoples.
