On Saturday, June 17, Mother Syria Assembly (MSA), marking 22nd of the Holy month of Ramadan, held an Iftar banquet for children suffering from cancer at the electricity workers’ club in Damascus.
A large number of cancer-stricken children, their families , artists, media professionals, social event representatives and persons interests in children issues attended the ceremony, which was held in cooperation with al-Chaam wing airlines
After welcoming the attendees, MSA President Dr. Mahmoud al-Irk said that the aim of MSA’s initiative in running such a ceremony is to implant a smile and joy on the faces of children with cancer, noting that the aim of this initiative is also to consolidate relations and achieve the psychological and social happiness for these children, not just for food, but for the reunification of the beloved ones, to communicate with them, and to offer them sympathy and care, thereby alleviating their suffering with the disease
The Iftar program included recreational activities such as storytelling and games and competitions for children. Prizes and gifts were given for children in order to fill their small hearts with joy and happiness.
Noteworthy , MSA , which was launched on August, 2nd , 2016 under the title “to revive again”, includes scientific, intellectual, economic and social figures and activists and aims to build a strong and developed Syria .
