During a meeting between the delegation representing MSA and the Indian Ambassador in Damascus, Shri Man Mohan Bhanot on Tuesday, June 6, 2017, MSA President, Dr. Mahmoud al-Irk reviewed MSA principles and objectives based on giving priority to building future Syria on the basis of justice, equality and citizenship rights.
Dr. al-Irk added that the aim of the visit is to define MSA , being in a state of revival in the civil society experience in Syria and to build on the distinguished relations between Syria and India in order to benefit from the experience in which India is distinguished in the world, especially in the area of education and scholarships. .
For his part, Ambassador Bhanot praised MSA pioneering experience, stressing to provide all possible support for its activities. He pointed to the existence of real opportunities for investment in many sectors of trade, economy and culture in Syria, and showed readiness to cooperate with investors and coordinate with the concerned authorities in Syria, to promote work on existing projects and on the establishment of new ones, and indicated India’s desire to participate in the reconstruction process in Syria.
He pointed out that relations between Syria and India are growing significantly to the benefit of the two countries, despite the repercussions of the current crisis.
Both Dr. al-Irk and the Ambassador stressed the depth of the historical and cultural relations between the two friendly countries, pointing out the importance of continuing efforts of strengthening and developing them, stressing that Syria will be safe and strong as it was in the past and will exterminate terrorism hatched against its territory very soon .
