The delegation representing Mother Syria Assembly MSA headed by Dr. Mahmoud al-Irk visited the Embassy of Indonesia in Damascus and met with ambassador Djoko Harjanto, , who affirmed that Indonesia’s support for Syria is unchanged, especially in voting for the Syrian side in international forums, in response to Syria’s support for Indonesia.
The ambassador added that despite external obstacles and the sanctions imposed on Syria, there is still reason for optimism manifested in the presence of civil groups (such as Mother Syria Assembly) with the slogan “We revive again”.
For his part, Dr. al-Irk stressed the need to prepare for the new phase by preparing programs suitable for current Syrian reality, based on comprehensive studies covering all political, social, cultural and economic aspects, noting that MSA is working hard to find a new management style in all mentioned above aspects.
Speaking about MSA activities, Ambassador Harjanto expressed readiness to cooperate in support of MSA’s objectives, hoping that this cooperation will extend to all aspects, including the economic aspect, referring to Indonesian participation through businessmen and companies in the economic activities in Syria.
In turn, Dr. al-Irk stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in the scientific aspect, hoping that Indonesia would take a positive attitude regarding raising the number of scholarships for Syrians.
