The delegation representing Mother Syria Assembly MSA headed by Dr. Mahmoud al-Irk visited on Wednesday 14/3/2018 the Embassy of the Armenian Republic in Damascus and met with its Ambassador in Damascus, Dr. Arshak Buladian.
Dr. a-Irk spoke about MSA activities especially the recently held first economic conference, and the specialized scientific seminars in the field of hi-tech, sponsored in cooperation with several concerned sides concerned.
For his part, Ambassador Buladian pointed to the importance of various Armenian economic, and investment initiatives, and that the joint Armenian-Syrian committee held in 2009 in Armenia, will be held soon in Damascus, in line with the directives of the two countries leaderships.
He also pointed to the coming visit of the Syrian Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade to the Republic of Armenia, stressing the accelerated economic relations between the two countries and the possibility of the Republic of Armenia’s contribution to the reconstruction process in Syria.
For their part, members of MSA delegation expressed the desire to hold a joint Syrian- Armenian exhibition, including artistic, intellectual, scientific, handicraft, business and economic activities.
Ambassador Bulgarian noted the importance of scientific cooperation between the two countries, pointing the 50 scientific research institutes in the Armenian Academy of Sciences with 8 scholarships for postgraduate studies granted for Syria.
Al-Irk also noted the importance of increasing bilateral scientific and economic exchanges and the need to increase grants for higher studies for Syrians. He thanked the ambassador for his cooperation and appreciation for MSA activities and achievements.
