Theatrical performances expressing pride in the Syrian Arab Army were presented by the “Ashraqat ” troupe, combined with singing and musical performances by “Ayla” musical band, with the participation of children who performed amazingly and captured the audience interests on April 14, at Dummar Cultural Complex.
The ceremony, organized by the Gardenia Childhood Initiative, and sponsored by MSA honored eleven distinguished male and female teachers, seven mothers who raised orphan children in SOS villages and 50 children from Gardenia childhood initiative.

The advocate of the initiative Ms. Ibtisam al-Irk said that the aim is to prepare a generation that has the responsibility and the ability to succeed in the most difficult circumstances, adding that this even is a motive for these teachers and mothers to build a generation of leaders who trust themselves, challenge the difficulties of their lives and make them capable of building their homeland.
The artistic performances were concluded with a spectacular gymnastics show by the children of Jerod city.
Since its inception, the Gardenia Initiative has established various activities for children, such as visits to temporary residence centers, various activities in schools and awareness-raising campaigns, as well as participation in events with various institutions and associations such as interactive theater and children’s sketches.
